KEN GORD
WRITER/PRODUCER
Born in Toronto and educated at the University of Toronto, Ken Gord has been producing film and television for
over 30 years.  He has filmed in Canada, the United States, Mexico, England, Scotland, France, Spain,
Luxembourg, Hungary, Israel, India, Thailand, Puerto Rico and Cuba and is an expert in international co-
productions.    He has just completed the feature film, Stuck, starring Mena Suvari (American Beauty) and
Stephen Rea (The Crying Game), which premiered at the 2007 Toronto International Film Festival and the major
mini-series “XIII” for NBC.

Among other features is Criminal Law, directed by Martin Campbell, starring Gary Oldman and Kevin Bacon and
distributed by Warner Bros.  

Ken has produced 17 television movies for CBS, Fox, UPN, Global, CTV, Lifetime, Paramount Television and CLT-
Ufa.  

Mini-series includes Day One, starring Brian Dennehy, for CBS/Spelling, which won an Emmy in 1989 for Best
Drama Special.  

Ken produced two seasons of the CBS series Sweating Bullets (aka Tropical Heat), the Paramount Television
syndicated series Queen of Swords, and Relic Hunter (Cycle 1), starring Tia Carrere.

He also produced five seasons (over 100 episodes) of the syndicated cult hit, Highlander: The Series, which
has been sold to over 100 countries world-wide.  In 1996, it was nominated for a Gemini Award for Best
Dramatic Series.    Ken Gord has been listed in Canadian Who’s Who since 2001.
ROB FOLK
COMPOSER/EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
Robert Folk is a graduate and former faculty member of the famed Juilliard School in New York City. Since
completing his doctorate, Mr. Folk has composed and conducted the musical scores for over 50 feature films. His
extensive credits include ACE VENTURA: WHEN NATURE CALLS, NOTHING TO LOSE, TREMORS, THE NEVERENDING
STORY II: THE NEXT CHAPTER, TOY SOLDIERS, POLICE ACADEMY, KUNG POW! ENTER THE FIST, BOAT TRIP, BACK IN
THE DAY, AMERICAN PIE: BAND CAMP and most recently, VAN WILDER 2 and VIVALDI. Mr. Folk has also been an
Executive Producer on three feature films in partnership with financier George Cooper.

Robert Folk has worked with many top filmmakers including Steve Oedekerk, George Gallo, Dan Petrie Jr., Gary
Sinise, Hugh Wilson, Jonathan Betuel, Don Bluth, Jon Davison, Gary Goldman, Steve Rash, David Permut, Andy
Hurst, Gene Quintano, Roger Birnbaum, Ron Underwood, Mark Burg, Thom Mount, Paul Maslansky, Michael Caleo,
George Miller, Fred Zollo, Marty Bregman, Gale Anne Hurd, Marco Weber, Ringo Lam, James Robinson, Richard
Williams, Jake Eberts and Gary Barber, to name a few.

Mr. Folk has also composed and conducted numerous concert works including Symphonic, Vocal and Chamber
music compositions. His Ballet “To Dream Of Roses,” composed for the Osaka Worlds Fair, was recorded by the
London Symphony Orchestra. Mr Folk is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and the
American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.  He is a prolific songwriter and producer, and has
conducted many prominent orchestras including: The London Symphony Orchestra, The Royal Philharmonic
Orchestra, The Berlin Radio Orchestra, The Munich Symphony, The Dublin Symphony Orchestra, The Moscow
Symphony Orchestra and the London Sinfonia.
Born in Spain, Jose Antonio Ruiz Diez is an entrepreneur and an
investor with interests in several fields and sectors of activity. He
has a degree in International Business Administration with majors
in Finance,  Marketing, and IT and has lived in four continents and
nine different countries during his life.

Within Tayrona, Jose Antonio accomplishes tasks as a producer,
executive producer and some others where he has a wide
knowledge from a corporate and craft point of view in the film
industry.
SHEILA MCCARTHY
VP PRODUCTION
Sheila was born in New York and educated in the United States,
Spain and Ecuador.
As director of development for Marton Productions at Universal
Studios for five years, she developed literary properties as well as film
and TV projects. Published books including Dodger pitcher Bobby
Welch’s memoir, Five O’Clock Comes Early and Judicial Indiscretion
which she developed and associate-produced as Double Standard, an
MOW for NBC, with Fries Entertainment. She produced Solo for
Showtime, which received the Cine Golden Eagle Award and she was
awarded the Congressional Award for service.  She has produced and
associate produced award-winning documentaries on subjects
ranging from UFO’s to cold fusion.  She produced the historical
Harlem Globetrotters USSR Goodwill Tour throughout Russia, worked
with Academy Award winning director Robert Wise in China.  She has
produced award winning theater in Los Angeles and raised funds for
film and theater projects.  
SCOTT FRANK
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER LOS ANGELES
Scott JT Frank is a 25 year veteran of film and television.  He has
worked with industry luminaries such as Susan Sarandon and Norman
Jewison in creating premier entertainment.  In 1995 he successfully
launched the Emmy Award winning Showtime series, Pictures
Windows, starring film icons John Hurt and Alan Arkin.  The John
Boorman episode of Picture Windows went on to open the Cannes
Film Festival.
As a writer, Scott has earned an Individual Emmy nomination.  He is
credited as Supervising Producer on Phenomenon: The Lost Archives
documentaries and the Chicken Soup for the Soul dramas.  
He has successfully raised production funding for both feature length
motion pictures and documentary films.  A graduate of California
Institute of the Arts, Scott has carefully balanced a long creative
career with  practical in the trenches experience in the businesses of
film and television.

James Ordonez, writer, producer, director and attorney, has been an essential part of numerous
Hollywood success stories.  He has provided financing agreements and production services to
high quality Hollywood and international films and Tv shows for over 20 years in the market
place.  His background and experience include films like “The Mission” starring Robert de Niro and
Jeremy Irons,  “Cobra Verde” directed by Werner Herzog, “Chronicle of a foretold death” directed
by Francesco Rossi,  “Nostromo” starring Albert Finney and Colin Firth, “Proof of life” starring
Russell Crowe and Meg Ryan, “The Dancer Upstairs” directed by John Malkovich, “Reversal of
Love” distributed by MGM, “Stuck” starring Stephen Rea and Mena Suvari,  and Multiple Award
winner super-production “Quo Vadis” for HBO among many others.

He has also produced and directed commercials for multinational companies like Budweiser and
Sony, music videos for mega-stars and has produced other entertainment events for companies
and brands like Sports Illustrated.   He studied Advanced Filmmaking and Direction at The New
York Film Academy at Universal Studios.

He is an attorney at law graduated from Rosario University and post studies from Cambridge
University, England with a master’s degree in International Business and banking.    He has also a
vast experience on stage where he has directed, among others, the plays  “Hamlet”, “Hamlet in the
mirror” and “Romeo and Juliet” in Madrid and London for the Shakespeare Corporation of Spain.   
He recently received a Life-Time Achievement Award by the RSC.
JAMES ORDONEZ
PRESIDENT
Ivan McAllister has over 15 years of experience in different business areas in Latin America.

Between 1998 and 2004 he was the president of City TV Bogota, where he set up the Toronto based franchise in
Colombia and other Latin American cities.
As the corporate Vice-President of Casa Editorial El Tiempo he led and directed the negotiations that resulted in a joint
venture for  theatrical exhibition with Cinemark, the largest US firm owning theatres in Latin America.
Ivan was also the President of Cinemac, one of the leading independent film and television content distributors in Latin
America with an important role in DVD distribution for the Hispanic market in the USA.
He was also the Marketing Vice-President and Business Development Director for Cine Colombia, one of the leaders in
theatrical distribution and exhibition in Colombia and Central America.
Ivan is currently the CEO and Partner of BPLC LA COLOMBIA, a company dedicated to Telecommunications with
emphasis in Systems creation for IP Broadband TV and Video on Demand, and VIVA TV CORPORATION, a company
dedicated to the development of TV channels and TV over internet.
Ivan is also a partner on Tayrona Distribution, an emerging leading company in Theatrical distribution for Latin America.
ED ELBERT
PRODUCER
Ed Elbert produced the Twentieth Century Fox film ANNA AND THE
KING,  starring Jody Foster and Asian superstar Chow Yun-Fat.
ANNA AND THE KING was released Christmas 1999, nominated for
two Academy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards.

He also produced THE MIGHTY QUINN, starring Denzel Washington.  
Reviewers Siskel & Ebert selected the MGM film
for their Best of the Year and Best of the Decade lists.

Partnered with multiple Academy Award winning producer Jonathan
Sanger, he produced *NSYNC, BIGGER THAN LIVE,
an Imax-style large format feature length concert film of the world’s
biggest pop group at the time.

Ed has also produced or executive produced a number of other low
budget independent films and movies of the week.
