This past weekend at Planet Hollywood Hotel Casino Vegas Entrepreneur ROBERT N. ESCOBAR JR, Pablo Escobar's
nephew and the only American citizen who holds the family rights to the story of Colombian drug-lord Pablo
Escobar, and Colombian-born Hollywood film producer and director JAMES ORDONEZ, son of former District
Attorney and advisor to the Colombian government  who led the entire prosecution team against Pablo Escobar,  have
made an historical alliance to produce several films and Television series related to the life and events of the
notorious gangster and drug lord.

ORDONEZ who has been behind "Proof of Life", "The Dancer Upstairs" and the upcoming "Silver Cord"  and
international  HBO TV series  "Quo Vadis", BBC's "Nostromo" and Sony's "Zorro" is the sole movie rights owner of
Pablo Escobar's life from the Colombian government POV thruogh his shingle, Tayrona Entertainment Group.

Signing this deal not only makes them partners but is also symbol of peace to all in their home country, and a
percentage of the proceeds from the films will go towards aid for the people in the rural areas of Colombia as well
as anyone effected by the war. So far Escobar has had success with audiences already as "Entourage" devoted two
seasons to the Medellin subplot. Currently there are two other projects devoted to Escobar's story, Bob Yari is
producing "Killing Pablo", and Oliver Stone has "Escobar", both films are currently experiencing a range of issues,
holding off production and this deal only makes the competition more fierce. Both Escobar and Ordonez have inside
stories neither Stone nor Yari will not be able to get from records, and as veterans of the entertainment industry
both are combining forces to throw a boulder in Hollywood's pond.

"20 years ago our families were basically killing each other, and now we are together to tell the stories as they must
be told... This is an historical moment" Ordonez said.  "We are very excited about this alliance, as none of the projects
that Hollywood is prepping related to Pablo Escobar's life are really based on family and government point of
views...   They are based on books but our projects relate to the people who lived there... in Colombia... to the people
who knew everything,as well as bodyguards and personal family members stories, so we are the only ones who can
tell the stories as they actually occurred " Escobar Jr. added.

The team will begin negotiations with studios and distributors soon to produce at least 3 to 4 Escobar-related films
and Television series, including the project "The Day Justice Died" that tells the true and untold story of a major
terrorist event that Pablo Escobar planned in cooperation with General Noriega (Panama) and Fidel Castro and with
the cooperation from Lybia and Nicaragua to attack the United States in November 1985.   In the mean time both
Escobar and Ordonez are staying busy, Escobar is in heavy development with Reality King Mark Burnett on a Reality TV
show, and Ordonez is preparing to film "Silver Cord" with Shane West, Cam Gigandet, Val Kilmer Arielle Kebbel, Ving
Rhames and Eric Balfour

In 1985 a group of terrorists supported by Colombian Drug Lord
Pablo Escobar, Fidel Castro, General Noriega and socialist
governments seized the Supreme Court of Justice of a South
American country in order to judge and kill the President,
release from criminal investigation the major drug-dealers of the
world and attack the United States.

500 Hostages were taken. 25 Justices were killed. But the truth
was behind what it was believed to be true.  Now, the real trial
must be started!

From the eyes of a 12-year boy whose father is trapped as a
hostage inside the building and an American journalist who helps
him to find his father, this action-packed film reveals the true and
tragic story of an event already forgotten by the world, but
where more than 500 families were sacrificed by an army that has
to decide to counter-attack the coup with tanks and helicopters
in order to save the world from a missile attack against the
United States and the true beginning of a new world war.
1980.  Colombia, South America.  The country finds hope in escaping poverty through the trafficking of
Cocaine. Led by Escobar, many people started to make money easily thanks to the high levels of consumption
in the United States and exceptionally profitable sale prices.

It would only take five years, starting from 1976, for society to change radically, for those with nothing
to have it all.  Drug dealers began to finance political campaigns to obtain high places in the government and
to further their interests.  This is how Pablo Escobar managed to arrive in the country's congress to pursue
his real objective:  To be President of Colombia.
It’s an eminently political war:  Who keeps the power?  The guerrilla, drug dealers or the leaders
democratically elected.

In order to protect his political interests and to avoid an extradition to the United States, Pablo Escobar
makes an alliance with Fidel Castro, Manuel Antonio Noriega and Socialist leaders.   Escobar’s objective:  To
take over the Supreme Court of Justice, kill the president and gain control of the country.  But his allies
had further interests:  To kidnap president Ronald Reagan and launch an attack against the United States.

Escobar’s drug empire in Medellin during the 1980’s, as viewed through
the eyes of his own nephew, Robert N. Escobar Jr. in present day Las
Vegas.

Robert grew up in Silicon Valley. He didn’t know about his infamous
legacy until he was 25 years old. When he finally discovered who his
uncle and his biological father were, everything finally made sense…his
brash and confident nature had seeds which could be traced back all
the way to Medellin, Colombia. Finally, all his unanswered questions
about his past became clear and he reluctantly assumed the Escobar
name and everything it entailed. Robert Escobar Jr. is, until this day,
considered a black sheep among the Escobar clan. He’s a maverick and
a risk-taker unafraid to use the family name in order to do good, despite
the evil influences that surround him.

On November 27, 1989, Escobar’s Medellín cartel planted a bomb on
Avianca flight 203, killing 110 people. The target, the man in chase of
Pablo Escobar’s prosecution, was not actually on board.

In addition to these high-profile assassinations, Escobar and his
organization were responsible for the deaths of countless
magistrates, journalists, policemen and even criminals inside his own
organization.
